Muscat Electricity Distribution Company Signing a contract to construct an electrical transformer station for the Royal Oman Police buildings in Al-Arfan City in Muscat Governorate
During the meeting of the Internal Tenders Committee, Muscat Electricity Distribution Company, a member of Nama Group, signed a contract with a value of more than one million seven hundred thousand riyals to construct an electrical transformers station, for the police hospital in Arfan city. The contract was signed by Engineer Abdullah bin Saeed Al Badri CEO of the company.
The contract provides for the construction of an electrical transformer station, for the buildings of the Royal Oman Police Hospital in Al-Arfan City, with a capacity of 3x20 MVA with a voltage of 33/11 KV.
This step comes in line with the company's continuous efforts to develop and operate a safe and economical operation for its network in the Governorate of Muscat, in line with the requirements of comprehensive urban and economic development .
The implementation of this project will contribute to improving the efficiency of the main electricity network. The contract is part of a business package to strengthen the electricity network in Muscat Governorate.
It is worth mentioning that the company invested in 2017 in three new primary stations, with an additional capacity of these stations 117 MVA, bringing the total installed capacity to 6029.5 MVA in 170 stations.
