Muscat Electricity Distribution Company held the annual workshop( Partners 5)
Muscat Electricity Distribution Company - a member of Nama Group- held the fifth edition of the annual conference (Partners 5) yesterday at the Grand Millennium Hotel in the presence of a group of company sector officials, contractors, consultants and manufacturers who are constantly engaged in the company projects.
The conference focused on discussing a range of work papers and topics. Starting with the topics of health safety and security in the implementation of projects reaching to the lessons learned, the conference ended with worksheets on the latest technologies used in the energy field. The company utilizes this event to introduce its current and future project plans of developing the electrical network in Muscat Governorate, the company also gave "Outstanding Project" reward to the contractors who was executing their works within the approved Heath, safety, security, environment and time frameworks.
In this edition of the conference under the slogan ( Bariq al montagat) "Glitter of products" where the main suppliers who were engaged in implementation of electricity distribution works and projects are able to display samples of their products , industries related to electricity and renewable energy, which will contribute to increasing reliability in the electricity distribution companies and also the speed of restoration of electric power in case of interruption and will also contribute to raising the level of occupational health and safety.
Through this conference, the company is keen to encourage the Omani cadres and engineers to enter the energy and electricity sector by facilitating their access to decision makers, senior participants and contractors through the largest gathering of the electricity sector in the field of project management.
The Muscat Electricity Distribution Company also presented their main plans related to asset management and project implementation, which helps contractors, suppliers and consultants working in the field of electricity distribution to be aware of what's new in the field of work.
The conference allowed a group of contractors to present their expertise of working in MEDC projects.
The open discussion was one of the important workshop programs. The attendees asked their questions directly to the decision makers in the company, listened to and discussed the responses.
