Integrated Talent Management Framework ( Himam )

Muscat Electricity Distribution Company- A part of Nama Group – continues to gradually implement "Himam" (Integrated Talent management Framework project) frame work which is based on developing the employee competency and performance.

A Competency Framework outlining specific competencies and proficiency levels for each job within MEDC has been developed, however there will be implementation of the framework only for Grade and 10 above within 2015.

We are happy to declare that 89% profiles have been signed by the position holders within Distribution and Support functions, which indicates the success of the program and the extent of the employees’ commitment in implementing the initiative.

Amina Butt, Head of Learning and Development Department is facilitating this process in MEDC. The plan includes Grade 9 and below implementation in the year 2016, in collaboration with the skills development facilities center NICD (Nama Institute of Competency Development)”.

"Himam" project measures the performance efficiency by identifying performance indicators for each employee at the beginning of the year and comparing them with the performance indicators at the end of the same year. The program also includes interactive sessions which take place between the employees and the supervisors regarding the discussion of these indicators throughout the performance cycle and how to improve performance before the end of the evaluation period to attain accomplish results and achieve the desired goals of the program.
